55,000 people, 15 bands and 12 hours of music? Oh yea, I'm in! That's what you get when you partake in Rockfest in Kansas City! I have been to Rockfest for the last 10 years and absolutely love this event! The last couple of years have been wet and cold so it added to my excitement to see the forecast of sunny and 70's. With the weather finally being great it was nice to see the lineup was just as good!
I'm a live music nerd! One of the main reasons I love going to see live music is because it takes talent to back up a killer studio album and performing live also separates those who have talent from those who have a talented studio production! Nothing is worse than really digging an album and being excited to see that band live only to hardly recognize that band while seeing them live. You will not experience that with Papa Roach!
I have been following Papa Roach now for 10 years and have seen them about every year since. Jacoby Shaddix is a mad man on stage! He is a power house of energy that gets me fired up, he never slows down during his set until they drop the curtain on him or give him the hook and pull him off the stage. I love it! When it come to live music the bands energy is contagious and Jacoby masterfully works the crowd. If I was a band that had to follow up a P Roach set I would be nervous, Seether had that task today and I did not envy them what so ever. I am a big fan of Papa Roach and love the music they put out, but I didn't own any of their albums until I saw a live performance. It was then when I started purchasing their studio albums, I can't recommend enough to go see them live, you won't regret it!
