Featured Bio:
Len DeLessio, Photographer

It all starts, December 1, 1971, in the hotel room of The Alice Cooper Band. Alice, Neal, Dennis, Glen and Michael were relaxing in a room at the One Fifth Avenue Hotel. The band had just finished performing the first of two scheduled shows that night at the Academy of Music on East 14th Street in New York City. Len was a kid with a camera, the band members were only a few years older than he was. There was Budweiser, a stiletto, Johnny Carson on the TV, someone's baby, and a few rolls of Tri-X film, all waiting for this moment to come together.

That was the beginning of a professional photography career that has spanned four decades. In the early years, Len performed assignments for major record labels and music magazines. In the late-1970's he turned his attention toward specializing in still-life product photography for major magazines, corporations and advertising agencies. His photographs have been published and exhibited worldwide, winning numerous awards.

In the Spring of 2010, Len returned to his roots and is currently photographing musical artists again.

In March of 2011, Len was reunited with the remaining members of Alice Cooper on the eve of their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when he accepted their invitation to photograph two of their pre-induction ceremony rehearsals.

A selection of Len's vintage images of The Alice Cooper Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Smokey Robinson, Isaac Hayes, and ZZ Top were recently added to a special archive at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio as the Len DeLessio Collection.
